ABOUT RYAN GEMMELL

Ryan’s racing story is truly like no other. Born and raised in the small town of Marion Center, Pennsylvania, a career in motorsports seemed all but within reach. In fact, it wasn’t until 2021, after graduating Westmoreland County Community College with an associates degree in Welding Engineering that he decided to take a chance and go after his dream, moving to Mooresville, NC with his fiancée, Christine. Upon moving to “Race City” Ryan took an internship at Nemco Motorsports, learning the ins and outs of working on NASCAR style stock cars under the guidance of Cup Series veteran, Joe Nemechek. What was intended to be a learning opportunity evolved into full-time employment as one of the lead mechanics for Nemco Motorsports. His fast paced progression did not stop there. An opportunity arose in late 2022 for Ryan to get behind the wheel for the first time in an exhibition style vintage stock-car race in Chattanooga, Tennessee. After starting and finishing in 3rd place, Gemmell’s career path in motorsports took a drastic turn. In 2023, he started his first full-time season in the Historic Sports-car Racing series’ “NASCAR Classic” division. Starting on the pole and winning his first career race was just the start of what would turn into a season of dominance, winning a total of 5 races and ultimately the series championship in his rookie season.

Ryan recently made his debut in the ARCA Menards series at Watkins Glen International, coming away with a solid top ten finish (8th). His ultimate goal would be compete full-time in the ARCA Menards series in 2025, and continue to progress through the ranks of NASCAR.
